Serving with the Mission allows volunteers to demonstrate the unconditional love and acceptance of Jesus to our residents, many of whom have lost their belief that they are worthy of such a gift.
Right now, we are unable to take any new volunteers at Dove’s Nest.
All Rebound men’s campus meal volunteer opportunities can be viewed and registered for by clicking the button below. All weekend meal opportunities require financial sponsorship of the meal. For opportunities other than meals or for additional information, please contact Christy Baker.
Charlotte Rescue Mission provides volunteering opportunities for every person that is willing to serve. Minimum age restrictions will apply to various volunteer opportunities. Criminal background checks may be required of all volunteers. All matters relating to volunteering are based upon ability to perform the job, as well as dependability and reliability, once placed.
Charlotte Rescue Mission operates as a Christian ministry. It is expected that volunteers uphold the teachings and ministry of the Mission.
While some volunteers may be of a different world religion or no religion, it is expected that they do not do anything to undermine the teachings and ministry of the Mission. This includes proselytizing clients to their religion as well as distribution of literature or other information.
Age Requirements for Volunteer Groups
To volunteer with a parent or chaperoned group, all volunteers must be accompanied by 1 sponsor for every 15 youth.
For over 46 years, the caring women of the Ladies Auxiliary have helped raise money, volunteered time, and sponsored the annual Christmas parties for Dove’s Nest and Rebound residents.
They’re a busy bunch, but they have fun, fellowship, and a passion for the Rescue Mission.
