The Food Service Manager is responsible for all operations related to food and food safety for the CRM’s Rebound program to include, but not limited to, preparation, serving meals, donations, purchasing, inventory, receiving, storage, equipment, and USDA commodities. The supervision of staff, residents and volunteers in the food service area is also performed by the Food Service Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow food safety guidelines set by FDA food code
- Ordering and purchasing weekly food for Rebound, and volunteer reimbursement
- Menu and meal preparation for residents and staff
- Supervise and train residents on ministry assignments (cooks, floaters, dining room, dishwashers); supervise, train and assist volunteers
- Maintain food service equipment
- Preparing purchase orders, expense reports, and filing invoice records
- Manage storage and distribution of purchased and donated food products
- Control temperature of food being prepared, served, purchased, donated or stored
- Inspecting of all food prior to serving or storage
- Conducting food safety evaluations
- USDA commodities: ordering, receiving, storage, inventory(perpetual/monthly), temperature charts
- Manage sanitation and cleaning of kitchen, food prep and storage areas
- Food donation deliveries and pickups
- Holiday meal preparations (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas)
- Maintain the usage of donation receipts (weighing in pounds)
- Food budget compliance
- Other duties as needed and assigned
