Donor Relations Assistant

The Donor Relations Associate provides support for the Office of Donor Relations and Communications. This position is full-time, M-F 8:30-430.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Open all CRM mail each morning and prepare batches to be scanned.
  2. Shared responsibility for data entry of batches and constituent records in Raiser’s Edge.
  3. Work with Donor Relations team to generate thank you letters and receipts in a timely manner.
  4. Work with Donor Relations and Communications team to steward donors (tele-thank you program, new donor bonding, donor retention, honor and memorial gifts, etc.).
  5. Maintain office supplies and stationary items for Development Department and place orders, as needed.  Responsible for keeping the Development office organized and stocked with materials.
  6. Provide excellent customer service to our donors.
  7. Other duties as assigned



To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/ or ability required.



  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two year’s work experience or associate’s degree preferred.



  • Appropriate verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows work environment and Microsoft Office
  • Detail-oriented, able to work quickly and accurately with data
  • Experience with data entry required
  • Experience in Raiser’s Edge helpful

Dove’s Nest Women’s Program

Certified Substance Abuse Counselor

Charlotte Rescue Mission is currently seeking a full-time Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) or LCAS for our Dove’s Nest Women’s Program. This counselor works primarily with the mothers with children who are residing at Dove’s Nest.  This is a FT, first shift position with benefits.


Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, our Clinicians are ultimately responsible for providing educational classes, individual and group therapy to residents with a primary diagnosis of chemical dependency.


Additional responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing knowledge of a variety of therapeutic models and theories to understand and plan intervention strategies for a variety of residents.
  • Monitoring resident progress and make changes to the therapeutic approach and best practice, evidenced based interventions based on resident response to treatment.
  • Working collaboratively with the resident and appropriate others to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses priority needs of the resident, desired treatment outcomes, an agreed upon plan of action, and reassessment;
  • Maintain resident records related to screening, intake, treatment, continuing care, progress toward goals and objectives, discharge summary, and treatment outcomes that are accurate, concise, timely, and useful for coordinating treatment team planning, monitoring, and review.
  • Coordinating and cooperating with local agencies and organizations necessary to expedite treatment for each resident.
