Charlotte Rescue Mission is transforming lives in the name of Christ by serving people struggling with addiction, poverty or hopelessness with the goal of returning them to society as productive, self-sufficient citizens. We are a leader in providing Christian-based residential recovery programs that help people struggling with the disease of addiction achieve long-term sobriety, find employment and stable housing, and restore and build healthy relationships.
After 80 years of serving the Charlotte community, we have launched an endowed fund that will be used for ministry purposes. The Charlotte Rescue Mission Endowment will provide long-term, sustainable funding for our programs. The primary purpose of an endowment is to build a reserve that will create financial stability for our organization. That stable source of funding is critically important during tough financial times so that fluctuations in donations don’t require cuts in programs, services, or staff. An endowment also sends a positive message to the community and to other funders that we are a strong organization worthy of their investment. We have served the community well for 80 years without relying on government or United Way funding, and we believe this endowment is proof of our long-term sustainability.
In addition, an endowment provides an opportunity for donors to make a gift that lives in perpetuity. A family name can live on, changing the lives of people in future generations. A gift to the Charlotte Rescue Mission Endowment guarantees that your love and support of men and women suffering from addiction will go on forever.
