(Nov 15, 2016) Butch Robertson, long time F3 volunteer and Board member of Charlotte Rescue Mission has challenged F3 members to donate a turkey to the Charlotte Rescue Mission for its Thanksgiving Outreach Campaign. In exchange, he will do one burpee for each turkey donated.
On Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 8:00am, Butch has agreed to demonstrate the burpee he will do for each turkey donated by F3 members.
“This year, the need for turkeys is so great” says Rev. Tony Marciano, Executive Director of Charlotte Rescue Mission. “We have increased our Thanksgiving Food Box outreach from just over 500 to 1300 families. F3 will play a key role to insure each food box has a turkey to be presented to a family in need.”
Individuals not involved in F3 are also welcome to participate in this turkey drive. The Rescue Mission is asking one family to donate one turkey so that another family can have a memorable Thanksgiving holiday. They should be 12-15 pounds.
Turkeys can be dropped off at the Charlotte Rescue Mission at 907 West First Street (we are located in the shadow of Bank of America stadium). Dates for drop off through Sunday November 20 between 6am and 6pm. Donors can bring the turkey into the lobby where it will be processed.
The Charlotte Rescue mission provides a free 120-day Christian residential program for men and women who are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol and are predominately homeless.
