Director of Finance

The Director of Finance and Administration provides leadership to the financial and HR portion of Charlotte Rescue Mission.   Must be knowledgeable about GAAP reporting standards, internal budgeting, projection, generation, reporting and financial and procedural analysis, supervising the accounting and reporting processes, insures compatibility and easy analysis between accounting databases and development databases, supervises human resources and reporting processes, supervises facility team, team player, solution oriented, make it happen, multi-tasking person all with a high integrity and high work ethic.

Knowledge:  Candidate must hold a CPA and Master’s Degree in Accounting or Master’s in Business Administration from an accredited university with at least five years of Accounting and Finance management experience; to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Candidate must have a thorough understanding of financial (especially nonprofit) and managerial accounting, database administration, data processing. Understanding of development and development strategies in order to adequately record and assess organizational income in conjunction with the Development Strategic Team.

-Experience in accounting and finance including budgeting, cash management, financial analysis, and planning.
-Experience in Human Resources, i.e., activities including benefits, staffing, and legal compliance.
-Experience in management of multiple departments and multiple locations.
-Experience in business insurance.

-Exceptional managerial skills: planning, organizing, implementing and supervising.
-Extremely detail oriented.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills utilizing English
-Proficient with computers as used in business environment, Word, Outlook, Excel, Internet.
-Leads as a servant leader while serving as a team leader
-Strong people skills while being flexible with team members
-Able to see the whole picture of CRM (Admin, Development, Program)
-Strong understanding of organization objectives
-Strong spiritual foundation (authentic relationship to God through Christ)

Rebound Men’s Program


Charlotte Rescue Mission Rebound Men’s Program, a Residential 12-step, Christian based Men’s Recovery facility is seeking a full-time second shift counselor. Must be a self-starter who is able to multi-task and work as an effective member of an interdisciplinary clinical team. Must possess good relational skills and be able to work in a recovery environment with residents. Minimum requirements include an Associates Degree in Counseling/Human Services, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor or Certified Substance Abuse Counselor intern. Experience in the substance abuse field is preferred. This is a full-time position with benefits. Candidates must be in good standing with the NCSAPPB with current credentials. Dove’s Nest Women’s Program


Charlotte Rescue Mission, a Christian Ministry, is seeking a full-time Nurse for the Dove’s Nest Women’s Program. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the nurse works within the nursing process as an RN to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the clients as they work towards recovery.  Nursing practice is guided, defined and directed by the State Board of Nursing under which the RN is licensed and other appropriate credentialing bodies as well as agency policies.  In addition, three resources are used to further guide and define practice.  They are:  Nursing:  Scope and Standards of Practice (ANA, 2004), Nursing’s Social Policy Statement (ANA, 2003), and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements (ANA 2001). Hours for this position are to be determined, but may be flexible. The salary is commensurate with experience. Assistant Food Service Manager

Charlotte Rescue Mission, a Christian Ministry, is seeking a part-time Assistant Food Service Manager for the Dove’s Nest Women’s Program. This experienced individual should be able to successfully manage all operations related to food and food safety. This position requires strong supervisory skills and the ability to train residents/volunteers in the food service area. An understanding of food safety guidelines, menu preparation and inventory control is essential. We need a person with an encouraging attitude who can set forth a positive environment that fosters cooperation, responsibility and accountability. ServeSafe Certification is desirable.  Other key qualifications; Menu Preparation, Temperature Control/Food Safety, Team Player & Detail Oriented.
