The following is a moving story written by an anonymous client here at Rebound:

Dear Rebound,

When I came here I was very sick — more than I even knew. I was exhausted mentally and physically, as well as spiritually bankrupt. I was a dead lost soul living a numb existence! I had been through treatment one other time before. But, two days into my recovery at that Rehab my Dad killed himself; I stayed ninety days but I was still using medication to cope and I was over medicating. Soon after I got out, I relapsed and went out for a two year blur, hiding from reality and facing the truth. When I got here it was very difficult in the beginning; I wasn’t sure if I’d ever recover. I’ve been to meetings before and attended groups but something different happened this time. I was willing to do the work and change. Read the rest of this entry »
