I didn't receive help from the Charlotte Rescue Mission, but mostly through St. Peter's soup kitchen and various Christian groups who fed on the streets. I got off the streets by the grace of God, so all the credit belongs to Him, just like everything else that is good in this life. I applaud legitimate Christian ministry like CRM. I was drawn to it when I first learned of the programs because of the Christian message is gives to the people it helps. Much of the research on rehabilitation shows that people need hope and a spiritual connection to be successful. Charlotte Rescue Mission offers both and that is why they are one of the most successful programs in the United States. I feel like I am helping many people get their lives back on track by adding my donation each month to the donations of others. Even during the time that I was unemployed, I continued to make my monthly donation. That is how important this program is. I support Charlotte Rescue Mission on a monthly basis.
