One of our former board members shared the following story with me today and I’d like to share it with you.  These kinds of stories often go unheard:

On Sunday in our Bible study group I mentioned that I had 38 prayer requests from the men at the Mission and a lady, actually a visitor, spoke up and inquired, “are you speaking of the Charlotte Rescue Mission?”  I answered yes and she relayed her story – a dear lady friend of hers, Sue (name changed to protect identity), was a resident at Dove’s Nest several years ago and was led back to Christ there and overcame her addiction to alcohol there.  She has not had contact with CRM since that time, but she still witnesses to others about her addiction and how she overcame her addiction.  How wonderful CRM is and how great Charlotte is and was to her.  Sue lives in Vancouver, BC now and continues to help others who are addicted to alcohol. Thought that was a great testimony and wanted you to know…  – Jim K
