Thank you Sandi! I was reminded at a meeting today that if we are grateful to be clean and sober, then it is hard to want to use or drink. VERY true for me! Simple gratitude has helped me in SOOO many ways! I,too, have found no greater honor and blessing than to help other women by sharing my experience, strength and hope. A few years ago, I didn't even know how to help myself; otherwise helping someone else. Just one of the MANY miracles in recovery. I am only a couple of weeks from picking up my 3 year chip, God willing, and I find myself as I approach each new, SOBER year; coming back here. Dove's Nest was there when NOBODY else was or could've been and they nursed me back to health and gave me the tools to get and stay sober; and to be the best me that I can be! I will NEVER forget where I came from...no matter where I go...and again, thank you Dove's Nest for loving me until I learned how to love myself! God Bless! ;o)

Your story sounds so much like mine. I too completed the Dove's Nest Program in 1993 and have had continuous recovery since then. I am so grateful for everything they taught me and the love I received while under their and God's care. I truly believe had I not gone through that program, I would not be where I am today. I now work with a lot of women, and while watching their struggles with turning their will and lives over to the care of God, I remain grateful. Continue the good work, God Bless you and yours. Sandi B.
