Do you accept contact lenses with more than year on expiration date?

  6. Charlotte Rescue Mission says:

Hi Susan, our nurse station said that we do not have a need for contact lenses. Thanks for thinking of us.

My doctor has ordered a wheel chair for me.Medicaid may pay for it, but in order to qualify for themotorized wheel chair my home must be wheel chair accessible. Is there anyone who can donate a pre-made ramp or build me a wheel chair ramp , please ? I have asked everywhere ! I can get no help.My Chair should be here in a month or two.I am so worried I will have to send it back.I have progressive MS and a spinal cord compression and a bad heart. I use a walker , but it is so hard, I fall all the time and it wears me out so bad.A wheel chair would make my life so much better, and less painful. Can anyone help me ? I live near Old Saint Paul church in Newton , NC. On Rene Martin Lane. I live in the old white 1960 mobile home. I have two dollars to my name to last me all month. Please help !

  8. Charlotte Rescue Mission says:

    Dawn,

I would recommend connecting with a local church who might be able to pair you up with a boy scout. This would be a good eagle-scout project.

  9. Vicki Simpkiss says:

Is there a need for women’s clothing. I have things to donate but are smaller sizes (7) I live in Va-but can get donated items to you. I also have a microwave-old but in good shape.

  10. Charlotte Rescue Mission says:

    Vicki,

Yes we can use women’s clothing.

  11. Vicki Simpkiss says:

    What about children’s clothing?

  12. Charlotte Rescue Mission says:

    Vicki,

We do not currently have a need for children’s clothing because we do not serve children. We will have a limited need for children’s clothing beginning this year when we open our new Dove’s Nest facility in July. We will have up to 30 children at a time there.
